Ronex 12% a water soluble, water stable chemical that is extremely high safe and can be used at any stage of the birds breeding cycle to combat Protozoal infection. Canker/Cochlosoma is the most commonly encountered Protozoal disease in aviculture. It can devastate finches and canary breeding flocks and is a significant disease in exhibition canaries. The cankers are often large yellowish masses in the throats and crops of birds Many other effects are seen from Trichomonads. Symptoms of Protozoal Diseases: diarrhea canker or large yellowish masses in the throat or crop weight loss yellowish/green droppings dirty feathers around the vent regurgitation dried saliva around beak Directions of Use: Ronex successfully treats motile protozoa such as Trichomonas, Giardia, Hexamita, and Cochlosoma. Add 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) of Ronex to 2 quarts (64 fluid oz., 8 cups or 1.89 Litres) of clean distilled drinking water and administer for 7 days. Use as bird’s only source of drinking water. Preventative treatments are recommended to control further protozoal infections. If bird does not improve or condition worsens, consult a veterinarian. Trichomoniasis: Treat all breeders for 7 days 4-6 weeks before breeding. Treat all young for 7 days after fledging. Cochlosoma: Treat all breeders for 7 days prior to breeding season. Treat all young for 7 days after fledging. Hexamita and Giardia: Treat for 7 days as indicated by your veterinarian. Preventative treatments are recommended to control further protozoal infections. Avian species-treat for 7 days, 4 times per year as preventative and when new birds are introduced. If bird does not improve or condition worsens, consult a veterinarian. Keep container closed before and after use. Store in a cool, dry place. One level teaspoon equals 5 ml. Ronex is safe for breeding parents and young baby birds. Made up Ronex-12% solution may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Empty and refill drinking water containers with medication daily. Remove all other water sources when treating.
