Appearance and Breed Characteristics White Embden geese are known for their snow-white plumage, stout, rounded body, and graceful upright neck. Their classic appearance is what most people picture when they think of a domestic goose. Mature geese typically weigh around 15–16 pounds, while ganders can reach 20 pounds or more, placing them in the Heavy goose class. Egg Production and Performance White Embden geese produce approximately 35–45 extra-large to 2XL white eggs per year.
